Minecraft 1.21 snapshot 23w45a adds the Breeze and Trial Chambers structure to Minecraft for the first time!! The trial chamber also comes with a new mysterious key and a new spawner, the trial spawner. Today we take a first look at everything in Minecraft 23w45a!

  1. What would be cool is if the key was used to access more of the trial chamber, to be used on the copper doors, and would be given to the player after beating a trial from breeze spawner.

  2. My take would be that the trial key would be used on the ancient portal found in the ancient ruins in the deep dark biome to open a portal to a different dimension

  3. I like the trials idea with the new mob & blocks, but I wish Mojang would work on previous unfinished ideas first. Remember the deep dark ancient city portal? The one with no function, even though it is the centerpiece. And the end. The end is extremely empty compared to the over world and nether. The end has three mob types (one being singular). You have to go to the end to complete the game. You don't have to go to the deep dark, trials, the majority of the nether, etc. to beat the game. Why not update an area required to visit to beat the game? Also, what about the witch huts and witches? Villagers and pillagers got updated and lore added. Not so with the witch. They were added to raids with no explanation to why they are a part of raids, even though they are not found with pillagers at outposts or mansions. We need a witch hut with a purpose, like enchanting table or potion stand seems how there isn't a tutorial about potions anymore. Would be more lore friendly.

  5. The trial chambers are a great addition, and they opened a door for something i wanted in minecraft for a long time now, the minecraft dungeons mob variants
    Like the frozen zombie who throws snowballs to make you slow, the sunken skeleton, who shoots harpoons and the jungle zombies and skeletons with poisonous attacks (they already added the skeletons with poison arrows, all that is needed is for them to have a different texture)
