Even if you rely on NPC Prompts, The Demolishion man says something about bombs getting past Ebonstone
I legit made the bomb strategy I had no guide like 8 years ago :p bombs destroy blocks it's just clear you should use them on the ebonstone. An guess what it worked

the bad thing about the tome of wisdom while using it against the destroyer is that you have to have a mechanical boss defeated before you can even get it so if your doing the destroyer as your first mechanical boss, then you wont be able to use the tome of wisdom
What weapon for Plantera
I learned something today, I used Dynamite to blow up ebonstone since 2012… I guess bombs couldn't break it at the time I remember trying it but I still used dynamite no further than this week lmao

bro you have to kill a mech boss before you can do this strat which is killing the easiest boss of the three….. whats the fucking point
unfortunately the dreadnautilus is not cheesable anymore because its projectiles go through walls :/
on my first spoilerfree playthrough i didnt actually use the purification powder i just once randomly threw a bomb and it worked
an really tasty cheese is probably killling the destroyer with dynamite build 70 blocks up make a lil house and make a one block gap that has a wood platform then build those wood platfroms up intil the roof of the house hook onto so technically probes and the destroyer cant see you then done summon the destroyer and eat you cheese! “Note” becareful you may toss the dynamite inside so put your cursor at the middle pf the boss hp then you can eat you cheese (edit) you can use the daedlus storm bow to easily kill the destroyer too its a bit easier.
I can think of at least 82 reasons destroyer is the most difficult mechanical boss. And yet people somehow struggle on skeletron prime. But it‘s literally just skeletron but slightly easier

I killed the destroyer in normal mode with 12 shots from the super star shooter. The hard part is getting him to get into a straight line.
I love using people's balls to defeat them.
As a mage i think the biggest cheese i got was using that rainbow beam thingy from the hollow chest in the dungeon it helped me with fights like the fishron it gets rid of the bubbles that fishron blows out and also helps with events like pumpkin moon, that winter moon event i forgot what it was called and the old ones army and also destroys the destroyer haha

On Bombs and Ebonstone: The Don't Dig Up/Remix secret seeds remove Purification Powder from the Dryad's inventory, making Bombs the only viable option.
You can Shimmer Vile Powder, but, well, that's far more involved.
