(Originally Ep.566)
In today’s episode, we start a new world in some respect. I travel 12,000 blocks to a remote island with only a few books and a stick of bamboo to start a new life. I’m not sure how long I’ll be here, but I’m excited to see what we make of it!

History of this world:
This survival series started on July 10th 2014 on the MCPE (Minecraft Pocket Edition) App. I had quite a few MCPE videos before this series that I recorded and edited on the iPod 4th Generation. When I finally upgraded to the iPhone 5, this was when I wanted to start a Minecraft series that will last forever! I started this series on the iPhone 5 and eventually upgraded again to the iPhone 6 Plus for more power on Ep.66. MCPE on the iPhone 6 Plus served me well for a long time until the game started updating more and became even slower. This was until I bought myself a gaming laptop (Lenovo Y700) and transferred my ongoing MCPE world to Windows 10 Edition on Ep.154. Till this day, we are still surviving and thriving with builds in this world and plan to do so far into the future!

  1. If you could somehow grab some jungle trees you could make like 1-4 or half the island jungle and suit the theme of your building

  2. This is long because the comment ended up transitioning into a short story related to the comment question. I don't know why I do that, it just happens sometimes…

CQOTD: If you had to design a new boss for Minecraft, based on your MC avatar and taking place in one of your builds/locations, what would it look like and how would the battle play out? Would this corrupted version of your MC self drop anything upon defeat? Let's assume "Corrupted Dallas" is you, but from an alternate dimension where an experiment involving Evokers went completely off the rails and gave your alternate self an insatiable desire for power and control. However, he has no idea that the experiment also sent him to your world. He spends years causing the many bugs and anomalies in your world. Eventually, a group of Pillagers find him and seal him away in an unused part of your lab. However, the 1.18 update created the Great Chunk Corruption, where Corrupted Dallas has fled to. There, he builds a fortress reminiscent of your house, but with an uninviting and foreboding block pallette. There, he lurks, occasionally using his powers and technology to continue corrupting your world, creating the abyssal chunks (the areas allowing access to the void), influencing your building style (when the city was being built) and eventually trapping you in your own survival world with no means of escape. Your corrupted self begins to appear around your builds, making his presence known. The corruptions get even worse, forcing you to flee to the Nether, then the End. The strip of broken chunks that nearly wrecked your world resurface in your memory. That's when it hits you. The parallel universe house, the city, the cryps, you built them whilst under your corrupted self's influence. You look at your reflection in a water source. You and your Minecraft avatar have become one, and you have no way out. Angered by this, you return home, equip the best gear you have and fly out to those corrupted mountains, aiming to put a stop to all of this.
You land on the exposed plain of bedrock and look up at the towering peaks before you. Atop them, a precariously-balanced fortress has been built. You begin the difficult ascent and refuse to stop until you reach the entrance, even with the hostile mobs of the night pursuing you. Eventually, you make it.
You break down the door and confront your corrupted self. He is angered at the sight of you. Vowing to overtake your world and merge it with his, he challenges you. Your determination to escape and save your world is unwaivering. After a grueling battle, you defeat Corrupted Dallas. He drops some strange items, which you bring to your lab to study later. You then begin to feel faint and pass out. Hours later, you reawaken in the real world. You check your save file and notice that most of the weird bugs are gone. The odd terrain is still there, but you designate these areas as sites for future research outposts. Relieved that everything is as it should be, you put out a lengthy LP episode, recounting your experience. But then you see… something… on the left side of your screen…

  3. aah that new world smell without loosing all that old history ^-^
and I think you should put the 400K statue in the new island as if its the God of that island with the donation church later on?

  4. I'm doing island survival too, but quite differently 😀 I just started a new world in minecraft indev 0.31, in the version where diamonds were first added. The worlds back then were not infinite yet, but generated like an island. I'm going to update the world occasionally if I get bored, and finally convert to infdev for infinite world when I want to leave the island.

If someone wants to try the same, I recommend Betacraft launcher for playing any old minecraft versions, and I saw a tutorial on youtube on how to use mcedit to copy the indev chunks into an infinite world!

  5. I think you should gradually make the island more overgrown with bamboo as if it's an invasive plant to the island (would make sense) and when you leave the island is covered in massive forests of it. Also perhaps you could make a giant "help" sign out of rocks on one side of the island.
