  1. One of the most inspiring stories in all of video game development and a monumentally beloved game that will be played for years to come

  2. For Stardew Valley fanatics who thought that Story of Seasons, Harvest Moon, and the new farming game Coral Island are just a cheap copy/ripoff of Stardew Valley, need to watch this video soooo bad.

It's amazing that Eric Barone finally meet his idol, Yasuhiro Wada-san!

  3. What Eric said about the romance options at 7:00 is really good information. “How do you know the players will feel connected?” You don’t, but you give them the option. The option is good enough to satisfy that player if they go down that route with your game. It makes sense. So, essentially don’t cheap out on romance options (looking at you, Skyrim).

I think the community and tester feedback is also quite important here. Great interview, glad he was able to meet the creator of his primary inspiration. Both were so respectful. 👍🏼 Thanks for sharing.

  4. I hope Wada got a little gift to his bank account by today.
If it wasn’t for Harvest Moon, SV would never had been made.
Wada hasn’t been able to reach success and I can imagine his family would be very thankful.
