ive seen that people say that the corruption is simply just downtown spooksville whilst the crimson gets the most in-depth lore about it being a sentient being and stuff like that due to the music, but i disagree. the crimson's music definitely does capture the look of the crimson; bloody, fleshy and haunting. the corruption, however, is more about the feeling of stepping upon the biome for the first time. the start of the track feels menacing, and the melody sounds uplifting, but it still sounds wrong. its like its a greater evil that has to be taken down. so whilst the corruption may not fit the looks as much as the crimson, it definitely fits the feeling more in my opinion.
The average Crimson fan will write a 10000 word thesis about how the Crimson technically has a more dominant place in the current meta and is necessary for optimised play and still crumble when faced with one goofy spooky tune.
