MOJANG CONFIRMS THE MINECRAFT MOB VOTE 2023 WAS BOTTED!

As some people suggested previously: mob vote should work similarly like biome vote. Introduce the mobs in a later update. Another idea I saw once: new features to existing mobs/blocks. In a way, everyone wins and there's less drama.
There's no bad idea, only bad execution.

Not rigged. There were multiple polls I saw of armadillo winning. Plus ones of crabs winning. On Twitter. So it could have been either way. But the difference with this vote a lot more bedrock and Chinese players voted so Twitter and other polls didn’t reflect the full actual vote.

I think he reason the armadillo won is because it had a clear basic feature it WILL have. Which is dog armor. Which is something people have watpnted for years which makes sense it won since it was the clearest feature and least risky compare to the vague penguin mechanics and the very vague crab item

Speaking of the crab it’s item is so vague and is not known if the reach is only plus one block or plus five or something. And even then it’s only for placing blocks and it’s been clarified. So yeah the crab voter hopium on the item being used for pvp is pure speculation. The armadillo is the only one that is clear in its use.
Some people really do wanna use dogs for combat or have better protection

Mob votes should be done by preferential voting instead, you would vote for all 3 in order of preference and your first pick would get 3 points your second 2 points and the third 1 point that way even if your first choice doesn't win your second might…

Here's my (maybe unpopular) opinion: The fan rigging did affect how large the percentage gap was, but didn't matter overall. This is for 2 reasons: 1) people all over the world voted, and different pockets of people liked 1 of the 3 more than the others, & 2) Mojang has slowly changed the voted from "we have been asked to put many things in, here are the most popular requests, vote" to "here are things that were not asked for but we want to do, we're either too overworked from other projects or are just too lazy to make all 3, so we'll have an internal vote, and have a public vote hosted on our own site, where the public vote can be easily manipulated to match the internal one, as it will create more hype than if we just announced the internal winner as part of the next update."

I mean, other developers make entire games that are successful (albiet, not minecraft levels, but still) from the ground up in the same time it takes Mojang to make a single mob vote reality; while Mojang already has the code base done and just has to add in the additional character, and its internal stats like health, damage, drops and drop rate, and tame-ability – all of which should be relatively easy by now, with how many years they have been working on Minecraft.

This has been going on for years. Dream rigged the mob vote which got the glow squid to win and the iceologer was the fan favourite with the moobloom.

I think the armadillo won fair and square because it was targeted at the next generation of minecraft players who make up a large portion of the fan base who have not been playing for years and who are not good at building yet. According to a survey by playtoday 54% of minecraft players are aged 3 to 12 which makes the users who voted for the crab in the 46% and there are songs on youtube explaining that the mob vote is not rigged.

If you don't believe the survey you can look up minecraft statistics on the Internet and then you will believe that the mob vote is not rigged.

Give it a rest ffs it's a mob vote for game not like there adding it to the real world get a life

7:01 I want them to make a structure vote and it will be a mix between upgrading current structures and adding new ones
For example
Vote 1: Illager Factory (a new key golem mob that is the only way for you to open the door of the structure)

Vote 2: Jungle Temple Upgrade (bigger rooms more puzzles and challenges and if you beat all of them you can get this item called the heart of the jungle that you can use to awaken an ancient golem)

People keep forgetting this mob vote was global and not just the USA, mexigan community wanted the armadillo, we dont know the rest of the world wanted, what about the children ? Like jesus its a game!!!

I WANT ARMADIRRO!! Whether or not the vote was rigged, the armadillo is the obvious winner. Online forums are just massive echo chambers and you can't take the information garnered from them at face value.

Armadillo was better because it's better than the lame crab. Crabs utility didn't stand a chance compared to the Armadillo.
